Season 2022-23

This page provides guidance for HTYFC team Managers/Coaches on the 2022-23 season

1. PLAYER REGISTRATION


  • Last season all teams filled out their Team Registration Form. Our Club Secretary, Adam will be emailing Managers w/c 23 May with the last version we have for your team.
  • Please check it and update any details where needed.
  • If you are signing a new player add him/her to the form at the bottom, and make sure you do Step 2 and 3 below.
  • Save and re-send your updated Team Registration Form to: adam.nethersole@hitchintownyouthfc.com
  • Forms incorrectly filled out or missing information will be returned.
  • The deadline for Team Registration Forms is 30 June 2022. If you don't send us the details by then, your team's start to the season will be delayed.

2. PLAYER PHOTOS


  • For new player registrations,  please take a clear photo of each player's head and send as a group to adam.nethersole@hitchintownyouthfc.com or to Adam via WhatsApp (07740 948284).
  • Obviously, make sure these photos are named, so we can allocate them to the correct player in your team. Adam has 450 players to link photos to - don't make his life harder.
  • Photos that are Not Acceptable will be returned. 
  • The deadline for Player Photos is 30 June 2022. If you don't send us the photos by then, your team's start to the season will be delayed.

3. ADDING A NEW PLAYER?

  • If you are adding a new player who is already registered with Hitchin Town Youth FC and plays for a different team, just add them to your Team Registration Form at the bottom. We will still need a photo of them.
  • If you are adding a new player to your team who is not registered with Hitchin Town Youth FC we will need you to get them (or their Parent/Guardian for U16s) to fill out a New Player Registration Form found on our Coach Essentials page
  • When filled out, email the form, or a scanned copy of it to: adam.nethersole@hitchintownyouthfc.com along with a scanned copy of their Passport ID and a head shot photo. 
  • Please collect their Registration Fee, and forward as per 4. below.

4. REGISTRATION FEE COLLECTION AND PAYMENT

Team Mangers/Secretaries are responsible for collecting all registration payments (1st and 2nd halves) from parents/guardians and transferring as a team to the HTYFC bank account. Parents do not pay the Committee individually.


  • The full annual player registration fee for the 2021-22 season is £175 per player. 
  • This is payable in one payment, or in two instalments of (1st half) £87.50 by 30 June 2022 and (2nd half) £87.50 by 30 September 2022.
  • For players joining teams mid-way through the season we offer discounts (see table) which reduce the fee to £131.25 (from 1st Dec 2022), £87.50 (from 1st Feb 2023) and £43.75 (from 1st April 2023).
  • Players who have paid the full Annual Registration fee of £175 and depart the club before the 1st day of December of the playing season will be eligible for a 50% refund (£87.50).
  • Players who have paid the full Annual Registration fee of £175 but depart the club on or after 1st day of December of the playing season will not be eligible for any refund of annual subscription fees.
  • HTYFC bank details are available from our Finance Manager,  Ade Olabode.

AND LASTLY...

No one loves Football admin - we get that, but, alas, it's a necessary part of running a youth football club. However, please don't take your admin frustrations out on the Committee. 


Behind that word 'Committee', we’re simply a small group of Dads and Mums, holding down normal day jobs like everyone else, while also trying to coordinate and provide for 30 teams, 60+ coaches and 400 kids, as well as Coaching our own boys and girls, like you. We’re massively understaffed and most of us are doing 3 or 4 roles at the time - all so football can continue, teams can join leagues, pitches are booked, kit is ordered and kids can play the beautiful game.
